Stellaris progress (15 April 2026)

Artemis II got back on Earth successfully and we did a lot of work this week toward the release of Stellaris 2.0, what a beautiful week! Most of this work was to improve the already existing features, but we also worked a lot on the new rocket system. Our new rocket skin and models are now working perfectly, and it’s really easy to add your own with an addon if you have some programming basics.

Our goal with Stellaris 2.0 is to improve what we already have in 1.X, but also add new content to make every planet feel unique. Which means the exploration will be a big part of the adventure, and we need to make every biome special.

In future blog posts, I’ll explain a few new systems that we added in the mod. For this week, let’s talk about what our plan is for the future of the development.

First of all, we will launch a first alpha version soon after our 26.1 port is ready. We are currently waiting on Architectury API to be ported before we can do anything. The goal of this alpha will be to test every system with other mods. It’s not planned to be used in survival mode or on a server.

After, once every bug is fixed and some more content is added, we will move to the beta release, where we will start testing the mod in survival and on servers. We want to make sure everything is working correctly before releasing a stable version.

Once this is done, we will start working on new planets! We will add each of them in a separate update to make sure they are perfect.

Stay tuned, we will start showing you our new and completely rewritten systems soon!
